A Local Authority is looking for an experienced children’s social worker to join their Looked After Team. Our client is offering flexible working to deliver a better work/life balance, giving you 2 days a week working from home alongside 1 day a month protected toil (on top of toil accrued) with the fantastic benefits of finishing at 4pm on a Friday!
You are given the freedom to manage your own diary and are only required to be in the office for team meetings and when you are on duty. To make the successful social workers start as straightforward as possible, you will be building up your own caseloads from scratch and managing around 18 cases in total once built up.
Traveling within the role is limited, as you will be taking new referrals that are almost always within county. Looked After Children social workers must have experience of LAC duties, and social workers with Child Protection/Safeguarding experience are highly encouraged to apply.
