As an experienced social worker this position allows you to be very autonomous and complete your 37 hours as and when your diary permits. Guaranteeing condensed hours of a 4 day working week.

A council in the South have secured extra funding to improve its Childrens services and reduce caseloads across all social work teams. We are looking for a number of social workers fro the North who have the ability to work away during the week to take you these posts, In return you will receive the highest QSW hourly rate on the market. If you are looking for a new opportunity to add real benefit to service this is the social work role for you.

Candidates for this role are expected to demonstrate recent experience in children's services and have thorough up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation. You must have solid safeguarding, child protection experience and be confident with court proceedings. As Child Protection Social Worker you must be flexible and able to work under pressure.

  • Liaising with other professionals
  • Relevant legislation
  • Holding complex cases
  • Working with children on Child Protection Plans, Looked after Children and Children in Need
  • Child protection Care proceedings
  • Attending Court
  • Court Reports
  • Working with new Public Law Outline (PLO)
  • Section 47s
  • Core Assessments
  • Child protection meetings
  • Case conferences
  • Attending LAC Reviews  

As a Child Protection Social Worker, you MUST be:

  • HCPC registered 
  • Eligible to work in the UK 
  • A full UK license holder
