Urgent role - There comes a point in everyone’s career where they look to go that extra step and seek out a way to fulfil their potential within their place of work – within social work this can be in a variety of ways, be in supporting junior social workers or moving into the operational side of children’s services. Often these opportunities are unattainable within locum positions, meaning your best chance is joining a stable, and well funded authority who will support your ambition.
Achieving for Children (Windsor and Maidenhead) are looking for a permanent experienced adults social workers to join their team, fulfilling the needs of vulnerable young adults between 18-25 with the disabilities service. You will part of a team made up of 2 part time and 3 full time social workers, working closely with the manager and multi-disciplinary team to bounce ideas off and find the best ways to accommodate the service users. The service works alongside SEND and closely with the adult framework, giving a great opportunity to give a multi agency approach to families when providing packages.
The local authority has received a large influx of funding, giving great opportunities for career development due to inhouse training programmes, and freeing up time for managers to properly oversee and supervise their social workers; they are even one of the Department for Educations 8 ‘Partners in Practice’ tasked with leading improvement across the social care sector.
If you’d like to know more, and speak to an agency that truly understands the needs of their Social Workers and tails their service to that then please get in touch with James at Frontline.
