We require experienced Social Workers to work in a Children's Assessment Team in Lancashirel. As a Social Worker within Referral & Assessment you will play the pivotal role of being the first point of access for the families you would be working with. You will utilise your assessment and independent decision-making skills to assess the urgency and risk to the child, and pass along the case accordingly. You will set up initial care plans for families needing support, or complete pre-proceeding work for children at risk, so your assessment skills and decision making would be vital within this role.You will also provide professional assistance when required. It is essential that candidates possess previous experience in referral and assessment.

Duties as a Children's Assessment Social Worker:
- Carrying out initial/core assessments
- Providing child protection and care planning services
- Completing section 17s, Section 7s and Section 47s
- Attending LAC reviews
- Attending Children in Need meetings
- Attending pre-birth conferences
As a Social Worker, you will be:
- HCPC registered
- Eligible to work in the UK
- A full UK license holder
