Frontline are recruiting experienced children’s social workers to join a Looked After Children team in the Midlands. This role offers 2-days/week working from home, 1 day/month protected toil (ontop of TOIL accrued), and a 4 o’clock finish on Fridays. You will only be required to be in the office for team meetings and when you are on duty – otherwise you are free to manage your diary completely.
The successful social workers will be replacing a social worker who has been in post for 4-years. Their cases have been re-allocated meaning you will be inheriting 0 cases and building up your own caseload from scratch.
You can expect to manage around 18 cases once you have built your caseload with roughly 6 cases requiring weekly visits and the rest being every 12 weekly visits. Also, because you will be taking new referrals these are almost always within county, reducing the distance you need to travel within the role.
Looked After Children social workers must have experience of LAC duties, and social workers with Child Protection/Safeguarding experience are highly encouraged to apply.
